By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I love having a plan. Marion texted me at work yesterday and asked about loading up the camper and boat this weekend and going fishing somewhere. First of all, how about my wife?! SHE suggests we go camping and fishing! Second, I made a quick check of the weather forecast and it looks like we'll have dry and calm conditions with temperatures in the mid-30's. My back is still not 100%, so I told Marion I'd have to lean on her to do some of the more strenuous stuff and she said fine. Next up was to touch base with my sources to see about what's happening at Rufus Woods and Lake Roosevelt. The triploid bite is still red-hot at the upper net pen on Rufus Woods with trout averaging over 5-pounds. I also learned that the rainbow bite on Lake Roosevelt is pretty strong for anglers fishing from a boat as well as from shore. Top that off with some positive news about walleye being caught off the mouth of the Spokane River and I feel my intel should pay off. So finger's crossed, we'll have a fishing weekend. Until next time, Good Fishing!
