For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Once again, those wishing to fish for sturgeon at Lake Roosevelt may do so next month. The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife last week announced an opening to fish for sturgeon on Lake Roosevelt from Grand Coulee Dam to the China Bend Boat Ramp beginning June 15th. Your daily limit is one between 53- and 63-inches and your annual limit is two. According to fish managers, last year's opening, the first of which in over 20-years, netted a total of 3,200 hatchery origin sturgeon. The goal for this year's harvest is 1,000. Be sure to head to the Department's website for more information at www.wdfw.wa.gov. Also, there are many of you listening to this report on a radio station right now. Thank you for listening. I got into broadcasting because, as a kid, Dad would tune in the radio during our hunting or fishing trips to listen to the Seahawks games or Mariners games, or just what we could find on local radio wherever we were. That's where I fell in love with the skill of those like Dave Niehaus or Pete Gross to paint a mental picture. Thanks for supporting your local radio station. Until next time, Good Fishing!
