By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion and I went to Lake Roosevelt last weekend to fish and camp. We launched out of Seven Bays Marina. By the way, there's a new requirement on Roosevelt this year for you to fill out and sign an aquatic invasive species certificate proving that you haven't had your boat in other waters within a certain time frame to help prevent the spread of milfoil, mussels and the New Zealand Mudsnail. You can go on-line here to fill out the information and put it in your boat. Launching at Seven Bays is just eight dollars for the week and even though the water level is still down in Roosevelt, we had plenty with which to launch. We literally ran across from Seven Bays and found a nice stretch of sandy beach upon which to set up our tent camp. Then, it was off to fish for some walleye. Marion had never fished for, or eaten walleye before so I knew she was in for a treat. We fished below the beacon at Moore Point with no luck. My Facebook buddy Eric Braaten suggested to try the mouth of Hawk Creek. So we did, and we found 'em. More on that Tuesday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
