By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I was awakened last night by a sound. It was one of those moments where you're sound asleep and then, suddenly, you're bolt-right up in bed, looking blindly through the darkness and wondering what the heck woke you up. Turns out, it was heavy rains falling on the roof of our house and a torrent of water rushing through the downspout on the gutter on the corner of the house where our bedroom sits. A few hours later as I blearily trudged through my morning routine of rousting at 4:00 a.m. to put together the sports for my TV station, memories swirled about the rain. I grew up in Western Washington, so rain on the roof was a constant. But I moved to the dry side here in Eastern Washington nearly 29-years ago, so memories of the sound have faded. As I sat down for this report, I remembered a rain-soaked day drifting the Wenatchee River and filming with Dave and Shane Magnuson. We were in search of steelhead. Shane landed a beauty and we captured it on film. Unfortunately, the one was it and the show never aired. Until next time, Good Fishing!
