The richest salmon derby in Eastern Washington is coming up soon, and there is still time to register. The Brewster King Salmon Derby will be held August 5th, 6th and 7th and conditions are developing to make catching ideal. There is over $20,000.00 in cash and prizes to be handed out at this year’s derby so don’t miss your chance to get in on the action. Over 30,000 kings have passed over Wells Dam and are swarming off the mouth of the mouth of the Okanogan River. The warm weather is heating up the Okanogan which stalls both the Chinook and sockeye salmon in the Brewster Pool. Catch rates at this derby rival any salmon derby anywhere, so you have a good chance to finish in the money at this one, or win one of the dozens of prizes given away through the raffles. Adult tickets are $50.00 and youth get in for $20.00. The deadline to register is Sunday, July 31st, and you can do it from your home computer.
