Here are a couple of events that you will want to know about coming up in July. The first is the free seminar being held at Bob Feil Boats and Motors on Tuesday, July 12th. The main presenter will be Austin Moser, of Austin’s Northwest Adventures Guide Service, and he will be sharing his methods for catching summer salmon on the Columbia River. Moser does a very good job of showing everyone the rods, reels, lines and terminal tackle that he uses to put these kings in his boat. I will also be there to talk about one of the other popular summer fisheries in our area--Banks Lake walleye. Walleye fishing has been great on Banks this year and I can show you how I get my fish and where I find them on this big reservoir. Also, coming up in July is the 5th Annual Wenatchee Salmon Derby, or NCW CCA Salmon Derby, on July 14th and 15th. Last year 232 kings were weighed in at this derby, and there will be $10,000.00 in cash and prizes handed out this year. Get tickets at Hooked on Toys, Sportsmens Warehouse or on line at wenatcheesalmonderby.com
