The dedication of the completely rebuilt Entiat Park is coming up this Saturday, May 16th at 10 a.m. The park along the Columbia River includes a boat ramp, camping sites, RV hook ups and other features. Construction of the seven million dollar project began in September of 2013 and will open on schedule on May 22nd, in time for Memorial Weekend. The park is a recreational asset to the community of Entiat and the region. Funding for the improvements to the park came from the Chelan County PUD, and they have a maintenance agreement with the City of Entiat. Also coming up this Saturday at Rocky Reach Dam is an event called River Ramble. This is a free program provided by the Visitors Center at Rocky Reach that will spotlight local animals, native plants, reptiles and Native American life. It is a hands-on program for all ages that begins at 10:30 a.m. For more information on the dedication of the Entiat Park and River Ramble please visit the PUD’s web site at chelanpud.org. The Central Washington Bass Club’s annual yard sale is also on Saturday, May 16th. It will be held at 500 S. Lynn St. in East Wenatchee, beginning at 8 a.m.
