If you haven’t made reservations for a campsite or hook up for the long weekend, don’t panic. There are several places that more than likely can accommodate you, even with late notice. Fish Lake, near Lake Wenatchee has a surprising number of campsites scattered through the woods. MarDon Resort is another vast camping destination, with a wide variety of things for a family to do nearby. At the town of Conconully, there are four resorts, and there is usually a couple with spaces available, even on a big holiday weekend. One of the places that most people don’t consider is Buffalo Lake. There are campsites, cabins and RV hook ups available here. I have visited this lake on Memorial Weekend many times and there is always room for more. A great destination to the north is Curlew Lake. There are several resorts around the lake, and one of the nicest State Parks I have ever seen. I have been there a couple of times on major weekends and there are plenty of spaces left in the park. As you can see, there are several options available for those who haven’t planned ahead. So relax and have fun!
