If you haven’t heard the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce has moved their very popular Pike Minnow Derby to October. The event will still be held at Crescent Bar and will take place from October 4th through the 6th. Anglers will be able to catch pike minnows on the Columbia River from Rock Island Dam to Wanapum Dam. There will be cash prizes awarded for the Most Fish Caught and Largest and Smallest in Length for both Adults and Kids. When you consider that the Grand Prize this year will be a Polaris Ranger SP 570 side by side, the total value of prizes for this year’s event is over $35,000! Once again, derby participants will be treated to a catered lunch on Sunday. You can register for the event by going to the fishing magician.com website and clicking on the “Something Fishy in Quincy” logo on the Home Page. You will also find tickets at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee, and Quincy Hardware and Lumber. You will also be able to register at Riverbend Park in Crescent Bar on Friday and Saturday mornings. So, plan on joining the fun October 4th through the 6th, and maybe winning some cash and prizes!
