For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. The rains across the northwest the past few days have reminded me of growing up in Western Washington. Of course, we only have to live with rain maybe some 20-days a year here in Wenatchee, so I won't complain. It did remind me of some of the best fishing moments I've experienced while the rain was coming down. Years ago, I'd planned to rent a boat from The Cove Resort at Fish Lake near Lake Wenatchee and fish the day away. Of course, the morning of my planned day on the water was filled with torrential rains. I didn't let that deter me. I just grabbed my rain gear, dressed warmly and headed out. The poor weather made it a perfect day on the water, because I had the entire lake to myself. I trolled a small lure around the lake, catching one small trout after another. It was fantastic. The other fishing-in-the-rain story I remember fondly was on Pearrygin near Winthrop. I'd taken the girls while Dad took the boys and we had a fish-off. Rains came down steadily while we were on the water while the girls hid under a blanket, and out fished the boys. Until next time, Good Fishing!
