By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Temperatures are supposed to reach into the 80's here in Eastern Washington this weekend. So I guess spring is finally here! Warming air temperatures will also warm waters a tad and start the bite on many lakes in our region. Bass and walleye will fix their attention on spawning, which usually means some voracious and aggressive bites. I'm hearing great reports coming out of Banks Lake on walleye. There was a bass tournament on Moses Lake last weekend, but I didn't hear how anglers fared, As I mentioned Tuesday, one of my favorite spots for spring fishing is Conconully in Okanogan County. This is also the time of year residents in the Methow Valley who depend on tourism can't wait for the DOT to get the North Cascades Highway open to allow anglers into the area to fish Pearrygin, Patterson and other area lakes. I think Marion and I will have to get up there to see how my family's property near Winthrop came through the winter months. Might as well take the boat and try for some hungry trout at Pearrygin while we're there. Also, don't forget the sunscreen this weekend. Until next time, Good Fishing!
