By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I've noticed an inverse relationship between two of my hobbies over the past year, golf and fishing. As I picked up my clubs and played on a more regular basis last year, my amount of time on the water declined. The more I spent on golf, the less I spent on fishing. I was playing with hand-me-down clubs that were about 30-years old, so I bought a new, but cheap set for less than $300. I began feeling guilty about spending that kind of money until I sorted through how much tackle I've purchased to go fishing. With today's ridiculous gas prices, it's about a wash between buying fuel and traveling to my favorite body of water to fish and paying a monthly corporate membership fee through our parent company to golf. Although I will say the frustrations over trying to consistently hit a little, white, dimpled ball cannot come anywhere close to the serenity of plying the waters of my favorite fishing hole. That is until the wind picks up while I'm out on the water, making it nearly impossible to control the boat while trolling. The conundrum continues. Until next time, Good Fishing!
