By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. FREE. The word itself makes me want to breathe deeply. The cleansing air sucked into the lungs that didn't cost a dime. FREE. Having the freedom to make up your mind one way or another. Do I go this way, or that way? Of course, that freedom comes much easier when you're on foot and are in open spaces. Add a car and roads and stop signs and suddenly that freedom to choose is loaded with immediate consequence. I have the choice to fish in Washington. Of course, that choice also means I have to fork out a bunch of bucks to be legal while I do it. And don't forget the catch record card. And the two pole endorsement. And the limitations on how many fish I can catch, etcetera etcetera. And, there's the added expense of purchasing gear to go after whichever quarry you seek. This weekend, if you already have the gear and know the rules, you're welcome to fish for free in Washington. And, it's available to residents and non-residents alike. Of course, it means you don't have to buy a license to fish. The rest is up to you. Until next time, Good Fishing!
