For FishingMagician.com I'm Eric Granstrom. I find myself in Colville writing this report. I stole a couple days away to play on a golf tournament with my good friend Dave Koepke. He had not driven to this neck of the world and wanted me to be his navigator. I suggested we drive US2 to Creston, then head north along Lake Roosevelt to Kettle Falls, then over to Colville. We passed several great launches and fishing spots along the way that I pointed out to Dave. Incredibly, he said he's never fished any of Lake Roosevelt before. He's a big fan of walleye fishing so I told him he's missing out. I said we'd have to bring my boat some weekend and find some. But that's the thing about Roosevelt. You could spend a lifetime and never discover all its secrets. But I'd you want an adventure, pack a tent, cook stove and some food in your boat and do some exploring. You're sure to find a sandy beech or an inlet or cove that offers protection, calm waters and plenty if fish for the grill. And if you really want a challenge, try for white sturgeon. Until next time, Good Fishing!
