For FishingMagician.com I'm Eric Granstrom. Dave mentioned the Northwest Ice Fishing Festival in Molson coming up this weekend. If you want a feel for what it's like, check out the video link on our Facebook page today (https://youtu.be/frbng12lBh4). It features a trip Dad and I took to Molson in 2014. It was our first time ever ice fishing. We were happy to have just found water, let alone catching fish. The thing that sticks out in my mind about the trip the most is the people. Organizers and volunteers were incredibly welcoming and gracious. Another adventure came to my mind this week. Dave and I used to attend an annual Fish Camp in the fall in the lower Columbia River. It was a gathering of fishing and outdoor writers and show hosts with related industry reps to share intel and fish stories. On my first trip to Fish Camp in 2013, one of the boat captains assembled to take us out on the river was Willie Ross. He was known as Walleye Willie, a guide on the lower Columbia. Unfortunately, Willie passed away this week. I'll always remember his white beard and warm demeanor. Until next time, Good Fishing!
