For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I've been hearing and seeing some nice results so far on the fishery at Lake Wenatchee for sockeye. Someone asked us if the 6,000 fish available for anglers will disappear by this weekend. I'm sure there's a lot of fishing pressure there, but I doubt they'll all be caught in just a few days. I'm also seeing nice catches of Chinook on the Wenatchee River. Many anglers are complaining about catching Pikeminnow. There's no bounty program in the Wenatchee River, only the Columbia. But I'm sure fish managers wanting to save salmonid species would be totally in favor of removing as many Pikeminnow as possible. I'm heading west again this weekend for my 35-year class reunion. My classmates and I will be gathering east of our alma matter at Sedro-Woolley High School to see how many brain cells are left to relive the past. I was hoping to get out and do some fishing or some crabbing as well this weekend, but it will probably have to wait until another time. Believe it or not, fall is around the corner and hunting season will be upon us. I'm ready! Until next time, Good Fishing!
