By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I just had a great conversation with a fellow fisherman on the sidewalk outside my office in Wenatchee. We've known each other for quite a while and we both know we like to fish. In fact, we were supposed to fish together on Lake Wenatchee this summer but the plans were ruined by wind. We began discussing each other's next fishing trips and lamenting how we don't get out as much as we should and the conversation teetered into a talk of electronics. He said he'd gone out with a guide who had the new, fancy-schmancy (my words, not his) fish finder electronics that used 3-D technology. I immediately admitted my lack of electronic proficiency and that I have equipment on my boat I don't even know how to use. He said this new fish finder allowed him to actually watch his 2-ounce ball and bait near the bottom of the river he was fishing and, in 3-D, see the fishing swimming near it. He said it was amazing! I agreed that it must and sorrowfully admitted again that I know how see the bottom and fish. Guess I should learn more. Until next time, Good Fishing!
