By Dave Graybill

I am getting back into the swing of things after a very successful trip to the Sea of Cortez, based in the town of Loreto on the Baja Peninsula. My wife Eileen and I hosted a group of anglers. Most of them had been with us on our trips to Belize. It was a great experience, with not only good fishing, but wildlife watching at a level none of us had enjoyed before. We stayed at La Mision, right on the waterfront, and I would highly recommend this hotel. I had arranged our fishing for yellowtail, roosterfish, grouper and other species through Land and Sea Eco Tours in Loreto. The people there took excellent care of the group, and I would also recommend them to anyone who would like to visit Loreto and do some fishing or enjoy other activities available there. They did a great job filleting and packaging our fish to bring home. I want to thank Eric Granstrom, of Gaboon Productions, and my partner in many outdoor adventures and the production of the many videos many of you enjoy. He filled in for me while I was away and did an excellent job keeping everyone up to date on the fishing scene here in the central state.
