By Dave Graybill

Filling in for Dave Graybill, I’m Eric Granstrom. I find it interesting how my fellow fishermen are so willing to share their photos of big fish on Facebook. It’s intriguing how they can be coaxed into revealing the lures or bait they used. But when it comes to the spot, they stop in their tracks. It’s a secret! It’s for them to know and me NOT to find out. So why is that? If I find the best place to get a steak in town, I’m sure to share THAT information. But when it comes to giving up my favorite fishing hole, you’re out of luck. I think what it boils down to is the belief if he gives up the information, the receiver of the Intel will catch every fish there is to be had in the hole and the fish-hole-finder will never be able to fish there again! Well, there is a place where information is shared, including locations. It’s your local tackle shop. The guy behind the counter will quickly fill you in on the latest. But beware, I’ll bet NONE of the gear he recommends is currently in your tackle box. Until next time, “Good Fishing!”
