Steelhead fishing has been very good in the Pateros area on the Columbia River, and also great on the Methow River. If you have ever wanted to fish in this area don’t miss the free seminars that Howard’s on the River is offering on Thursday, November 19th. Three of the biggest names in steelhead fishing will be there to share their tackle and techniques. Leading off the evening will be fly fishing guide Jeff Brazda, who has taken steelhead all over the state and limits his fly fishing clients at an incredible rate on the Methow. Next up will be Rick Graybill, former guide and expert on fishing with a bobber and jig on the Columbia River. He will show you how he rigs and what he recommends for consistently taking steelhead on the big water. Finally, Shane Magnuson, of Upper Columbia Guide Service, will share how he catches steelhead on the smaller tributaries of the Columbia—from drifting Corkies to pulling plugs. Prior to the seminars there will be a sumptuous dinner served, which is optional, for just $14. Dinner starts at five and the seminars at six. For more information call 509-923-2200.
