By Dave Graybill

Don’t forget, the seminar at Town Ford in East Wenatchee is coming up this Wednesday. Retired guide Rick Graybill will be the featured speaker and will be talking about catching kokanee on Lake Chelan. He just completed a booklet on fishing for kokanee here and you expect to get more details on this fishery than you will get anywhere else. Also making a presentation on Wednesday evening is Shane Magnuson, Upper Columbia Guide Service. We expect a good return of spring salmon to the Icicle this year, and the Wenatchee River will open to spring fishing this season. The seminar will take place at the Town Ford Dealership in East Wenatchee, beginning at 6 p.m. I made a run up to Rufus Woods recently and stopped by Roses Lake on the way home. The ice is completely gone on Roses and trout fishing should be very good. Ice on Fish Lake near Lake Wenatchee is being stubborn. There is still a thick layer on this lake. There will be a bunch of lakes opening on April 1st in the Columbia Basin, and there will be some terrific trout fishing on them. I hope to get out on Potholes Reservoir for some big rainbow fishing before then.
