I put some more miles on the F-150 this past week. Made a trip all the way up to Vernon, B.C. to see my new boat is being built! I met Dan Feil, Bob Feil Boats and Motors, the local dealer of JetCraft boats that set everything up with the folks at JetCraft in B.C. We met Mark Delaney at the plant and he arranged a tour. We got to see the process of making JetCraft, HarberCraft and KingFisher boats, all of which are made here. As we went down the production line and learned how computers control the cutting and bending of materials and how the welds are performed on all of these boats, we came to a sleek aluminum hull. This was my boat, at the stage of getting its windshields in place, floatation injected and boxes and seats put in place. It is still a ways from the finish shop and painting, but its close. The shipping date is December 3rd, when a truckload of new JetCraft boats will be delivered to East Wenatchee for final rigging. It won’t take long for the folks at Bob Feil Boats to get the riggers and other goodies mounted in the new boat, and you’ll be seeing me on the water!
