Once again I am headed east, to Anaconda, Montana. Family stuff gets me there, but the fishing is something that keeps me coming back. I have fished in the winter in below zero weather at Georgetown Lake. I have fished some of the small local streams in the early summer. This time I hope to get out on one of the many blue ribbon streams that are nearby. Anaconda is not far from Butte, Montana, and years ago I fished a couple of the famous rivers with one of my contacts from my Fishing and Hunting News days. It is my hope that Bob LeFever from Fran Johnson’s will be available again, to take me down of the area’s rivers. If he isn’t I don’t have a problem heading out on my own. From what I hear if you just find water in Montana it will be loaded with big rainbow and brown trout! When I drive to Anaconda I pass a lot of great looking water, and there are quite a few famous streams not that far from town. I will figure something out, and if I get some good photos or a video for the TV Show, I’ll let you know.
