The outdoor show season has arrived, and there is a great list of shows to put on your calendar on the east side of the mountains. The first one coming up is the Tri-Cities Sportsmen Show that will take place January 16th through the 18th at the TRAC in Pasco. This is a very intimate, family oriented show, and a lot of fun. Along with the usual annual special events, exhibits and activities, they have added the 1st Annual Trout Races. To qualify to participate you must be there before 2 p.m. on Saturday. The next show on the fall-winter calendar is the Central Washington Sportsmens Show in Yakima. It will be held from February 13th through the 15th at the Sundome. I have been to this one many times and always have a great time. This is a very busy show with lots of vendors and activities for the whole family. There is full schedule of great speakers and lots of demonstrations throughout the weekend. The last eastern Washington show that I plan to attend is the Great Western Sportfishing Show in Spokane. This is the 2nd Annual and is devoted purely to fishing. It will be held from March 6th through the 8th at the Spokane Convention Center.
