By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Begging got me nowhere as a kid. I learned that quickly in the cereal isle at the grocery store. I did it once. Mom left me lying in the isle and as she turned the corner said four simple words, "see what Dad thinks." I jumped to my feet and chased her down in the baking supply isle and never begged again. Oh sure, I'd ask for things or ask for Dad to take me fishing. But I never begged for it. I just knew it wouldn't get me anywhere. My parents instilled in me a sense of value for things that are earned. IF you do this, THEN this will happen. IF you work hard, THEN there is a reward. It might not be instantaneous, but it will come. The reason I talk about this today is that someone suggested upon reading about my boat troubles and the $3,000 to repair it to put a Go-Fund me page together. I would never even consider it. I think this as a technological way of begging. No thanks. I'll work for it and earn it. Until next time, Good Fishing!
