By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. B.O.A.T. Break Out Another Thousand. If you haven't heard that before consider yourself lucky. That means you've probably never owned a boat. Over the years, I've either owned or been part owner of six or seven boats. From a 12-foot Livingston to my 20-foot Reinell, they've covered the gambit. One thing's for sure, I've never got out of them what I put into them financially. Yes, a hole in the water you just throw money in. But what you get out of a boat, if you use it, as far as experiences and quality of life is immeasurable. Some of my greatest memories were on a boat somewhere. From my first fishing experience at age 5 plying the waters of Big Twin Lake with my grandparents to bobbing the waves below the Astoria Bridge with my grandfather fishing sturgeon, all memories etched in my mind. From getting to drive The Pixie when I was 6 in Puget Sound to trolling for kokanee on Lake Chelan in the Lund with Marion, all were worth it. Now the Reinell needs $3,000 in repairs. Is the investment worth the memories? Most definitely yes! Until next time, Good Fishing!
