By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. The plan was to head for Lake Wenatchee this morning to get in on the sockeye fishery going on there. I was to meet my Dad and Dave Graybill at Coles Corner at 4:30 this morning to head around to the north side of the lake where Dave has his boat moored at a friend's dock. Joining us on this adventure was to be Mike McKee, owner of Mike's Meets and Seafoods. Dave texted me yesterday morning and canceled the trip, however, when he was blown off the water and said the forecast was for even more wind today. That's the one thing about Lake Wenatchee is that you are totally exposed to the wind there. If it comes out of the west or northwest as it usually does, it can whip that lake into a frothy mess in no time at all. And let's face it, unless you're fly a kite or sailing, NOTHING is fun in the wind. There's nothing like trying to maintain a steady, slow troll for sockeye while the wind is pushing you around all over the lake. So, no fishing this morning. Until next time, Good Fishing!
