For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. Marion and I spent last weekend traveling around the state covering high school playoff football for my TV station. We drove a total of 636-miles in three days. That's too much time in the rig, I can tell you that! But along the way, we stopped off to see my good friend Shane Magnuson. Shane is a fishing guide and now makes his home just outside of Stevenson, Washington. I met Shane back in 2006 when I was doing my "Great Outdoors" show on KPQ. I'd heard of him through Dave Graybill and called him up for a radio interview. Instead of recording something over the phone, I decided it would be fun to go up on the boat with him out of Pateros and do some live recording while fishing for steelhead. What a day we had! And, I'm thankful for the friendship that has built since. Shane is operating Northwest Bait and Scent out of his house and selling Graybill's Guide Formula like crazy. He spent time in Alaska this past year and was busy on the lower Columbia. Now it's time to rest, and catch up instead of catching fish. Until next time, Good Fishing!
