By Eric Granstrom

For FishingMagician.com, I’m Eric Granstrom. I’ve been asked to be a keynote speaker next week at the Wenatchee Central Lions Club Apple Cup Tailgate Luncheon. This should be fun. They’ve asked me to share stories of my time working with the Seahawks Radio Network and I’m jotting some notes about other times covering sports over the past 30-years in broadcasting. I’ve been a guest speaker to small events. I’ve spoken on behalf of organizations at conventions. I’ve also emceed a ton of events in front of lots of people. But being a keynote is a different deal. I’m expected to be their entertainment. Yikes! My wife is constantly telling me to get to the point instead of just rambling on-and-on. My Dad will be there and he’s a master storyteller. Maybe I should just bring him up to the stage and have him tell a couple stories. After the tailgate luncheon, I’ll take Dad fishing. I think we’ll head up to Roosevelt and see if we can find some rainbow and those big kokanee. Dad hasn’t been out on our boat since we got it and I know he’s really looking forward to it. So am I. You gotta love a plan! Until next time, Good Fishing!
