The largest show of its kind, the Pacific Northwest Sportsman’s Show, will be taking place in Portland, starting on Wednesday February 4th and running through the weekend. I haven’t been to this show, but people have told me that it is three times the size of Puyallup, the largest in Washington State. What it offers is more of everything. More manufacturers of product, more guides and outfitters and particularly with this show more boats and RVs. It takes me two days to get through the Puyallup show, so imagine what Portland could be like. Coming up soon here in Eastern Washington is an event that has been popular with sportsmen for decades. It is the annual Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association Game Feed and Auction. The game feed is something special, with all kinds of wild game offered at the dinner. The auction is one of the best in the region and provides not only bargains for the bidders but important funding for the group’s many projects that enhance wildlife in our local area. The event will be held on Saturday, February 14th this year, and you can get tickets at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee.
