If you’re a fan of fall trout fishing, better consider a trip to Jameson Lake. The bite has picked up and anglers are catching limit numbers of fat 12- to 14-inch rainbow. Anglers may remember that the spring fishing was a bit off for Jameson this season, but the fall fishing is up to standard. There was a recent plant of fresh fish and they are small, but even shore anglers soaking Power Bait off the bottom are doing well on the larger fish. There are two resorts that serve Jameson, with boats for rent and other things that anglers need. There is an abundance of shoreline available to anglers. I have done very well at Jameson in the fall, trolling Rapalas and dragging flies. Another good fall bet is Fish Lake near Lake Wenatchee. I plan to fish there soon and can give you an update on what to expect. I may even give Roses Lake a try soon. I will be trying for both bass and rainbow at Roses. It can also be very good in the fall and I like to hit it before they plant it with small catchables for the winter and spring trout fishing.
