Mike McKee, owner of Mike's Meat and Farmers Market in Wenatchee, was surprised when this big triploid hit at Fish Lake, near Lake Wenatchee. He and his fishing buddies had a ball with me catching a bunch of rainbow, this triploid and even a brown trout.

Art Viola (left) is pretty pleased with this walleye he just landed, held by Brian Neilson. Viola is a retired fish manager and biologist from the Department of Fish and Wildlife and now fishes all over the region.

Brian Nielson of BJs Guide Service holds up the first walleye we caught on a recent trip to Moses Lake. We got a total of six keepers that day and caught fish on a variety of spinners, Max Lure Squidders, and Rapala Shad Raps.

On my left is Herb Good who I and Ed Iman fished with on Drano Lake. Fishing was very tough. You are looking at one of only five fish caught that day on Drano. His faithful companion Jig is on the far left, and is a finely tuned critter.

This local angler caught these two nice roosterfish right off the breakwater of the marina, with a hand line! We will be fishing for roosterfish, yellowtail tuna, pargo, snapper, grouper and other species when we travel to Loreto in November.
