Fishing was very slow when I fished Evergreen Reservoir near Quincy recently. I did get this nice smallmouth bass, though, casting a Senko.

You can barely make out the three boats anchored on the Icicle. The fog was thick this particular morning, but burned off later in the day.

Jerrod Gibbons, Okanogan Valley Guide Service, and his father Tom, picked up this spring salmon on their last float of the season.

Shown here is Allison Dronen (right) with Rollie Schmitten with the spring salmon that she landed while fishing with Schimitten and Bob Stroup on the Icicle River.

Here's my father Dave Graybill with one of the kokanee we caught on Fathers Day, fishing with my brother Rick. We got this one in front of Mill Bay.

Keith Jensen, of Big Wally's in Coulee City holds up one of many smallmouth he caught while we fished the south end of Banks recently. Fishing for smallmouth is going to be fantastic this season.

What you are seeing here is what is known as "The Poplars" at Banks Lake, which is a landmark for walleye anglers. However, the fishing for smallmouth along the rip rap bank at the highway's edge is great for smallmouth bass.

Fishing wasn't a good as expected for the June 1st opener of the special triploid season below Chief Joseph Dam. Kevin Anderson (left) and Jim Passage weren't complaining, though. They both got two fish like the one shown. Over 60 boats pounded the water from Bridgeport to Brewster and fishing will improve as water temperatures climb and boat traffic drops.

Kokanee are the largest anyone can remember at Lake Chelan this year. They are consistently 15 to nearly 17 inches and are biting right now. Anglers are fishing for them deeper than usual, with most being taken in 100 feet of water. The fish will move more shallow soon, and I think the size average will drop, too, so get on them now!

This was what the weather was like at Fish Lake recently. Cloudy with a breeze--perfect. We darn near ran out of bait--two bubs of worms--on our recent fishing trip here, and one of our hot baits was a non-baited fly!
