I missed a ton of hits on my indicator while floating the Yakima River, but I hooked this one. I was introduced to the Farmland section by Johnny Boitano of the Troutwater Fly Shop in Ellensburg. His brother Jason joined us on the float, and caught a bunch of rainbow and a cutthroat.

This specialized boat is one of two that the Okanogan County Search and Rescue unit uses for river and ice conditions. This Rapid Deployment Craft comes in a bag and inflates in no time. It allows rescuers to get right over their subjects and pull them aboard. The boat is then pulled ashore by hand or ATV.
