It was beautiful at Alta Lake on opening weekend this year and the fishing was great. Some anglers caught rainbow to 17 inches here.

If you haven't been to Leader Lake near Okanogan you've missed out. It has great trout fishing and perch, bluegill and largemouth bass.

Fishing was excellent at Lilly Lake on opening day, with a very good number of jumbo rainbow taken both from the shore and from boats.

I was very impressed with Upper Wheeler Reservoir. Nice spot. It is now designated as fly fishing only and maintained by the fly club.
