For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. I know I've described it several times, comparing fishing to unwrapping a present. There's the thrill of the moment knowing it's there. The apprehension of not knowing what it is until you actually see it. Then there's the utter exhilaration of actually holding it in your hands for the first time. It's the same whether you're ravaging the wrapping paper on a snowy Christmas morning or leaning down to lift a prized fish out of the water. I've been dreaming of fish lately. Well, not exactly fish, but the look of fish. I close my eyes and see the speckled pattern of scales and spots adorning the fish's side. The water revealing the side of a big slab that you fooled into biting whatever lure or bait you threw its way. The gold and black and white eye of the fish revealing a world hereto unknown to it, this world of air and anglers vying for its attention. The slippery shine created by its protective slime that helps it survive the various waters through which it swims. The spiny fins and might tail. I close my eyes and see fish. Until next time, Good Fishing!
