By Dave Graybill

I have a couple of items in the “mark your calendar category”. The first is the free seminar on fishing for fall kings at Bob Feil Boats and Motors Thursday night. Rick Graybill will be the presenter and has a very detailed description of the techniques used to catch these big brutes and where to find them in the Hanford Reach. The event starts at 6 p.m. Also, the Department of Fish and Wildlife will be celebrating National Hunting and Fishing Day with an event at the Gun Club in East Wenatchee on Saturday, October 1st. This is an opportunity to introduce families to the shooting sports and there are things of interest for young anglers there, too. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and run through 3 p.m., with activities going on throughout the day. People can drop in at any time during these hours, and there is a complete schedule available through the department’s web site. A quick and easy way to get this information is to log onto my web site at FishingMagician, com and click on the banner on the Home Page. This is a fun way to introduce youth and families to hunting and fishing and I hope you can attend. I’ll be there for sure.
