By Dave Graybill

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 8th. That’s when the next free fishing seminar will be held at Town Ford in East Wenatchee. The seminar will be on kokanee fishing at Lake Chelan, and the presenter will be Rick Graybill, who works at Hooked on Toys. Graybill was a guide in the area for 15 years and has been fishing for kokanee on Lake Chelan for decades. He has prepared a Power Point presentation for the seminar. Graybill also has published a booklet on fishing for kokanee on Lake Chelan, which describes in great detail the variety of tackle that can be used and the best areas of the lake to fish for them. The seminar will start at 6 p.m. There will be water and cookies provided by Town Ford and there will be drawings for door prizes. Town Ford is located on 3rd street, across from Costco in East Wenatchee. Kokanee fishing at Lake Chelan has already been good this year. I have been seeing photos of good catches of kokanee taken above Kelly’s Resort since January of this year. The really good fishing is still to come as more fish move down from the upper reaches of the lake.
