I had a much better day on Chelan. Actually put some kokanee in the boat. It was slow in the morning and much better in the afternoon. One fish was at least 16 inches. I am going to try to sneak out and do some fly fishing this week. The Teanaway River is in perfect fishing condition, and the trout are hitting dries. I am going to try the stretch up river from where it enters the Yakima. There is a big celebration going on at Hooked on Toys in Wenatchee on Saturday. In anticipation of the opening of the summer-run salmon and sockeye fishing on July 1st, they are having a series of seminars and even a boat show. Stuart Hurd, Jerrod Gibbons and Austin Moser will all be there, beginning at 11 a.m. to give everyone tips on tackle and techniques for catching salmon this summer. If you have kids that you want to introduce to trout fishing plan on being at the Blackbird Island Pond in Leavenworth on Saturday, July 5th. The Icicle Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited is inviting families to come down and catch some trout. Bring your own gear to this one. It starts and eight and goes till noon,
