For FishingMagician.com, I'm Eric Granstrom. There we stood, standing on a sandy beach with our heads tilted skyward watching one fiery explosion after another. Marion and I celebrated Independence Day on the Washington coast at Grayland. The private display of fireworks is incredible. Almost sheepishly, we watch other people burn up and explode their hard-earned money to our enjoyment. It's part of our annual trek during our anniversary week. We spend day-after-day on the beach, enjoying the upper 60's while it's in the 90's or 100's back home in East Wenatchee. We have a lovely couple that offers their driveway as a place to park and sleep at night. Then we're back to the beach early in the morning. Another part of our adventure is crabbing off the dock at Tokeland. Here you pitch a chicken-laden crab pot off the dock and tie it off to the railing. This year's harvest was disappointing. We spent 24-hours over two days for barely two limits. There was a lot of undersized crab and soft-shelled crab. I'm surprised Fish and Wildlife hasn't shut it down yet. We'd spend the day after our anniversary fishing "The Bubble". More on that Thursday. Until next time, Good Fishing!
