There are two things that I recommend that you do within the next two weeks. One is to get up to Lake Chelan and fish for kokanee. There are thousands of these tasty fish in the lower basin of the lake right now. The fishing is about as good as I have ever seen it. If you like fast action and appreciate the good table fare that kokanee provide you will want to get in on this. Get yourself some Kokabow blades and the squid spinners in the orange color and you will be in business. You don’t even need downriggers as many of the fish are in 30 feet of water off Lakeside Park. The other is to attend the free salmon fishing seminar at Bob Feil Boats and Motors on Wednesday, June 28th. Shane Magnuson of Upper Columbia Guide Service will be doing the presentation. Shane is known for providing step-by-step details on how to catch summer run salmon and sockeye on the Columbia River. The seminar will be at the Bob Feil Boats dealership on Sunset Highway in East Wenatchee, and will begin at 6 p.m. There will be free drawings for some great door prizes, too.
