By Dave Graybill

I am heading back from a trip to the Columbia River in the Gorge, fishing for spring salmon and walleye. I will be sharing my experience in future reports, but my next stop is at Bridgeport for the Trippin with the Triploids Derby. Interest has been very high in this derby and I will also be sharing the results with you very soon. I will be home for a couple of days and then flying down to Baja, Mexico to scout a resort and guide service for a trip I will be offering in November. When I return I am hoping that the kokanee fishing has taken off at Lake Chelan. The fish are still not in the lower basin in any numbers but warm weather will drive them down. If you are interested in kokanee fishing in our region mark Saturday, May 19th on your calendar. I will be giving a seminar on kokanee fishing in our region at Bob Feil Boats and Motors that afternoon. I will talk about where to find them and how to catch them. I will open my tackle box and show you how I fish for kokanee in several lakes in our region. Hope to see you there.
