Turkey Day is almost here, the first Holiday of the winter season. For our family that signals a time for making plans for fishing. Way back in the days when I was at the U of W I would be on the phone with my brother Rick, scheming about where we would be fishing for steelhead or chasing ducks and geese over these holidays. Some of my best memories of these holidays took place in the field or on the water. I hope you are making plans to get together with your family and friends to get outdoors. Don’t be like me, though, and show up late for dinner! The folks at Journey Travel and Tours in Wenatchee tell me that response to the Belize fishing trip in February has been very good and that I should tell my listeners and readers to get on the ball if they want to save a seat for the trip. I’m already picking through my tackle from my last trip. I am pretty much set for gear, but there are always some flies or lures to try. I can’t wait to step into that warm water and chase my first bonefish!
