We found a bunch of smallmouth bass in the Devils Punchbowl on Banks Lake. I got this dandy on a Bomber plug in the crawfish pattern. I thought the smallmouth fishing was going to be tough. Not!

Keith Jensen started our day by landing this walleye right across the bay from Coulee Playland, which will be the headquarters for the Triple Fish Challenge. We got three keepers and lots of shorts that day.

We were after three species on Banks Lake while shooting a new TV Show with Keith Jensen of Big Wally's Guide Service. Keith put us on bass, walleye and trout. We're ready for the Triple Fish Challenge!

I got this walleye using a a new spinner I found in my box. I was looking for something blue and this one had a blue Smile Blade, a blue hard blade and a blue hookie!

Bob Whitehall started our day on Banks Lake by catching this nice walleye. We were in about 40 feet of water behind Steamboat Rock, using bottom bouncers and spinners.

Bob Whitehall was surprised to catch a burbot while walleye fishing on Banks Lake. He got two of them on his favorite walleye spinner when were were trolling behind Steamboat Rock.

The walleye bite is going strong this spring at Potholes Reservoir. I got this one jigging a blade bait with my Fetha Styx Walleye rod. I was with Brian Nielson of BJs Guide Service.

This is one of the log jams we had to cross on the upper Yakima. There are many hazards this time of year. Call Troutwater before heading out.

This is an 18-inch cutthroat I landed on the upper Yakima River. You won't get a lot of fish now, but you can get some dandies.

I stopped by Roses Lake recently and found it to be completely clear of ice. Trout fishing can be very good here when the ice comes off.
