There is always a big crowd gathered at Columbia Cove Park in Brewster to hear the results of the salmon derby. Derby organizers hand out thousands of dollars in prize money and lots of items in the raffles.

I ran up the Okanogan and tried for smallmouth when the sockeye bite died. Didn't have much luck, but this guy smacked a top water lure near the bridge. I am going to try this again!

The sockeye fishing is going great guns on the Brewster Pool. There are thousands of them flipping around up here. Just down stream there are swarms of them in the big eddy below Wells Dam, too.

A ball of perch is just going off the screen on my depth sounder at Fish Lake. When I see this I put the Minn Kota in Anchor Mode and go to work--hands free.
