Flint Creek is a beautiful stream, meandering for miles through a scenic valley. I would like another try at this stream when conditions are better.

Flint Creek, which flows out of Georgetown Lake, near Anaconda, Montana only produced a few small brown trout when I fished it. Recent thunderstorms had muddied the water.

This is an example of the kind of cutthroat that can be caught in Warms Springs Creek. This one is smaller, but I landed one that was 14 1/2 inches.

Warm Springs Creek runs pretty fast for most of its length, but there are a few holes that hold some nice cutthroat. The stream flows down the valley through Anaconda, Montana.

Trout were carefully weighed to find the largest five for the big prizes, but all the kids could take some tackle home from the TU Kids Fishing Derby at the Blackbird Island Pond.
