This big, bright king hit a mini Super Bait Plug Cut on the opening day of salmon season. Chelan Falls was the location. I was fishing with Shane Magnuson of Upper Columbia Guide Services.

Rollie Schmitten caught several big cutthroat on our float on the Cle Elum River. You don't big numbers of trout on the Cle Elum, but what you get are big!

The Cle Elum River produces some big rainbow and cutthroat, and I got this one floating with Johnny Boitano of the Troutwater Fly Shop in Ellensburg. It's a beautiful river to float.

Marcos, who is in sales at Bob Feil Boats and Motors, holds up a rainbow we caught near the Monument on Lake Chelan. I missed the kokanee bite, but it was a great day to be on the lake.

This is the Colville Tribal Longhouse on the road to Omak Lake. I was there for the First Fish Ceremony and presentations on the new sockeye hatchery in B.C. and and update on the Bridgeport hatchery.

This was our shore lunch on our snorkeling trip on barrier reef in Belize. The feast included snapper, barracuda and lobster. We all ate way too much!

Here I am scanning the flats for bonefish. We saw several good groups, and when the barracuda weren't chasing them I managed to get a few.

Shown here is our guide Bobby throwing his casting net for sardines. We used what he caught later in the day to catch a whole bunch of barracuda. What fun!

One of the first people I ran into when I got home was Kyle Kelley, who just got off the Icicle. He had two beauties. Fishing has really picked up for springers on the Icicle.

Thanks to Bob, one of Shane's clients, I was able to get this springer off the Wind.
