If you are proud of your boat, here’s a chance to show it off. The Greater Crescent Bar Association is holding their Opening Day of Boating Parade, on Saturday, May 18th, from ten a.m. until noon. Boaters are encouraged to decorate their boats with a theme, like pirates, yacht clubs, disco—whatever. There are only 30 spots available, so you want to contact the association right away. Just Google “Crescent Bar Boat Parade”, like I did to get your tickets to participate and other details. After the event, contestants and invitees are invited to go to Tower Pizza for free pizza. The winners of first, second and third places will be announced there, and the winner will be named on the Crescent Bar trophy. Judging will take place from the commercial marina to the famous Crescent Bar Bridge. What a great way to spend Saturday. If you can’t bring a boat the Crescent Bar Recreation Area is great place to hang out. The event is sponsored by Bob Feil Boats and Motors in East Wenatchee. The Crescent Bar Recreation Area is located about 25 miles from East Wenatchee on Highway 28. Look for me in the new Smoker Craft.
