I was in Moses Lake the other day and had time check on the perch fishing near the I-90 Bridge. When I was passing by the I-90 Bridge on the highway, I saw an angler reeling in a nice perch, so when I parked at Blue Heron Park a made a beeline to see how he was doing. He was working on a nice bucketful of good-sized perch. He was using perch meat, saying he didn’t have to replace his bait that often, compared to using worms. There were two boats anchored just above the bridge, and I watched them catch fish after fish. Also, there was an angler on the rip rap shore at the edge of the cut under the bridge and he was working on a very nice stringer. The perch fishing in this area of Moses Lake is lights out, and I want to get in on the action. Since I was in the area, I made sure to stop by the boat ramp at the State Park to see how difficult it would be to launch a boat. I found the water had dropped to just below the concrete ramp, so boat trailers would be on sand.
