By Dave Graybill

My wife Eileen and I have hosted adventures to great fishing destinations for the past four years. We have made two trips to Ambergris Caye in Belize, one to Loreto, Baja Mexico and another to La Paz, Baja Mexico. Our fellow travelers have enjoyed fishing the Sea of Cortez so much, that we are planning another trip to the Baja in early May. This time we will be going to Los Barriles, which is north of Cabo San Lucas and south of La Paz. We will be staying at the Hotel Palmas de Cortez and fishing off shore on the famed East Cape of the Sea of Cortez. We will fish for three days, and it will be excellent for Dorado, striped marlin at this time and very good for yellowfin tuna, blue marlin, sailfish, roosterfish and jack crevalle. There is also excellent fishing for reef fish such as pargo, cabrilla, trigger fish and other species. We will be using guided super pangas, which are 22 to 25 footers and can accommodate two to three anglers very comfortably. There are other activities like snorkeling, ATV rides and kayaking to enjoy on the days we aren’t fishing. If you would like to get on the list to receive information on the exact dates and costs of the trip, send me an e-mail at fishboy@nwi.net.
